This community-led race and walk brings 3,700 Participants together in a united stand against cancer —showcasing the transformative power of sport for social impact.

San Sebastián showed once again that it is more than just a city. It is a community built on solidarity, sport, and a shared goal to make a difference. This weekend’s 12th Race and Walk Against Cancer brought together a record 3,700 participants, making it one of Gipuzkoa’s most important social impact events.

Thousands of people of all ages filled the streets of Donostia with one goal: to support the fight against cancer and raise awareness about research, prevention, and care. Cancer survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters ran together, dedicating their efforts to loved ones lost or still fighting the disease. Beyond the run, the day’s atmosphere inspired everyone to make a real difference through awareness, research, and unity.

A highlight of the day was when more than 50 SALTO WECOSYSTEM community volunteers joined the YWNWA community to form a spirited team. Their cheers and music echoed along the route, lifting runners’ spirits and energizing the event. Every step felt like a celebration of collective strength.
